Trocar port site herniation (TSH) is a common trocar site complications after laparoscopic surgery. VHMED port closure devices are designed to minimize the occurrence of trocar site hernia. We have designed two versions of port closure devices, one with suture passing guides and the other one with blunt tip design.

VHMED trocar port site closure device with suture passing guides provides a quick and convenient way of closing trocar incision after the laparoscopic procedure. The distal end has a widely opened suture catching device which allows surgeon catching the sutures and passing through the peritoneum easily. The suture passing guides are designed to precisely passing the sutures and maximum maintain the pneumoperitoneum while closing the port site.
